Tuck Sweater is an oversize sweater with European shoulders, made with highlighted increases. The characteristic increases are repeated at the neckline and add a detail to the stockinette yoke. After the yoke, tucks are made. They appear as structural stripes on the body and sleeves. The tucks can be knitted in the ground colour or in a contrast colour.

It is worked top-down. The stitches for the back are cast on and worked back and forth in stockinette stitch with highlighted increases on the shoulders. When the shoulders reach the final width, decreases are made at the armholes and the work continues on the back piece with tucks until the bottom of the armhole.

Stitches are knitted up along the left shoulder and the work continues with stockinette stitch and increases for the neck. The right shoulder is made in the same way. The two shoulder pieces are joined at the front of the neck and continues on the front piece with tucks until the bottom of the armhole.

The work is joined and the body is worked in stockinette stitch with tucks. The body is finished with a rib edge and Italian bind-off.

Stitches are knitted up at the neck and a rib is worked.

The sleeves are worked one at a time in stockinette stitch with tucks. Decreases are made along the inside of the sleeves and before the finishing rib.
