A sweater in stockinette stitch with a deep v-neck in rib with decreases that continue into a high collar. Decorative decreases add an elegant detail at the back of the neck and on the sleeves.

The sweater is worked top-down. First stitches are cast on for the back. Stockinette stitch is worked back and forth with increases on the shoulders. When the shoulders have the final width, the work continues on the back piece, to the bottom of the armhole.

Stitches are knitted up along the right shoulder and stockinette stitch is worked to the bottom of the armhole, first with decreases at the armhole and then with increases at the neckline. The left shoulder is worked in the same way.

The back piece and the two front pieces are joined under the arms and the body is worked back and forth, continuing with increases at the neckline.

The work is joined in the round and knitted to the desired length and it is finished with rib.

Stitches are knitted up at the neck and the rib is shaped with short rows and decreases.

Stitches are knitted up for the sleeves, which are knitted one at a time. Decreases are made along the inside of the sleeves and finished with a high rib with decreases.
